Gardening with Dad: Part 2

You may wish to read the Gardening with Dad post before reading this if you haven't already seen it. Dad and I haven't done as much with the vegetable plot as we intended to over the last few weeks for various reasons, but hopefully we will move things on a bit this weekend. However there has been some good progress...

The lettuce and radish began to grow from the seeds that had been sewn. Some potato plants also grew from the remains of the potatoes that were planted in the spot years ago, before the chicken shed. Looking back, it looks OK now, because this is how it looks at the moment...

The potato plants are taking over! But underneath them our newly planted vegtables are growing nicely.

That radish put huge smiles on mine and dad's faces. It tasted great too. We thinned it out this evening and plucked some of the lettuce that has grown well. This went into a lovely fresh salad to accompany tonight's BBQ.

Look out for further growing progress and decorative touches in future posts.
